National Research Coordinating Committee

Responsibilities

The primary objective of the National Research Coordinating Committee is to assist the Centre of Excellence in achieving its goal, namely to ensure a future where children and adolescents with special needs can combine the riches of life in northern and rural communities with the very best services Canada has to offer.

The Committee functions to insure that the research with the Centre is consistent with our mandate and Health Canada objectives. The Committee functions in the following capacities:

  • Developing the goal, objectives and work plans
  • Monitoring the individual and collective work of the Task Forces
  • Establishing policy and guidelines governing the Centre’s operation
  • Establishing and nominating members to sit on the various boards, committees and panels within the Centre

Membership

The National Research Coordinating Committee consists of the National Directors, who chair the Committee, and all Task Force Directors.
